What Is Network Camera and what are the advantages?

Network Camera is a digital video camera with built-in web server so you can directly connect the network camera to LAN or network hub through Cat5e cable (or Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g). The live video is viewable by all popular internet browsers and is available for multiple viewers at different location simultaneously. The network camera can be connected to Internet through DSL modem, Cable modem, or T-1 line from home or office.

Since Network Camera is a self sustained standalone server system, it does not require a PC or video monitoring/recording system nearby to handle or to distribute the video. The Network Camera distributes video frames itself. With up to 1,000 feet Cat5e Ethernet cable now available in retail store, Network Camera could be used in many home and business applications with a relative low price tag. For examples, with PC or laptop link to the same network, network camera applications include,

  1. Thinking about to allocate window view office for every employee, or want to view the reception area from office(s) not near there, no problem, just install a few network cameras in different areas, the live view of reception area or the window views will be available at the internet browser on the screen. Now every office is a window view office, actually, every office is a multi-window view office.
  2. With network camera, more than one persons could access the same camera from different locations  simultaneously. Also, each person could access multiple cameras by simply open multiple browser windows on his/her computer.
  3. With proper lenses, such as the CS0615M, the camera could be used as the digital loupe to inspect the details of jewelry, stamps, antiques, and fine collections. It would be much easier to show details on monitor screen than asking customers to wear the loupe.
  4. In the corporate environment, such as pharmaceutical R&D area, Network Camera could be installed to monitor and record the progress of their medicine experiment from multiple remote locations simultaneously.
  5. Use Network Camera to monitor baby sleeping while watching TV downstairs. The walkie-talkie type listening device sold in the toy store won't work well for this type monitoring because babies may not make any noise when they wake up. Also with the self sustained Network Camera, one could avoid a noisy PC in baby's room.
  6. Watch kids playing at backyard, tree house, or just in a different room.
  7. Install Network Cameras in garden or green house to record the amazing moment of blossom while one is away or at work.
  8. Record the fish breeding in the aquarium, the funny moment of pets, or monitor young birds growing up from nest at backyard without disturbing them. All these footages are great for family leisure enjoyment or kids school projects
  9. Install Network cameras in a horse barn, chicken farm, etc. to monitor animal with proper food and water supply, or any abnormal activities, from home office hundreds feet away.
  10. When network camera is set up for viewing from internet, one could ask plumber or service company to provide accurate estimate over the phone/internet for comparison. This is one way to avoid the high cost visiting surcharges.
